MAITREYA - THE FRIEND

EVOLUTIONARY TRANSFORMATIVE PRAXIS

(ETP Age – The Age of Friends)

What Did the Buddha Say Before He Died

It is said that before his death, the Buddha foretold that he would reincarnate on Earth at a time when the principle of Dharma — the cosmic order and natural law — would be lost and in need of renewal and deeper understanding.

We will return to this statement later. But first, we need to take a closer look at the times we are living in today.

Life on Planet Earth is becoming increasingly extinct

Planet Earth is a wonderful place to live — yet it’s incredible how much we take for granted. When we get out of bed each morning, we rarely stop to appreciate the experiences this world offers us. We overlook the quiet beauty hidden in everyday life.

Instead of seeing the wonder around us, we rush into a routine: the chilly morning air, school, work, obligations. Life becomes automatic — and the beauty fades into the background.

But what if one day we woke up… and it was all gone?
Only then would we realize how precious it truly was — and how deeply we regret not valuing it while we still had the chance.

We never realize how much we take something for granted — until we lose it

When will we finally realize how much Mother Earth does for us every single day? Our planet is the most beautiful in the solar system, and as far as we know, Earth is the only one that supports life.

Just 500 years ago, humanity maintained a respectful relationship with nature. But with the rise of cities, industry, and modern lifestyles, that connection has been severely disrupted.

Today, we recklessly exploit natural resources, often without any awareness or restraint. In our pursuit of crude oil, coal, and other materials, we are destroying even the most remote corners of the planet. Forests are disappearing, and countless species are being pushed to extinction.

According to scientists, Earth has gone through five mass extinction events in the past 500 million years. The most recent one occurred about 66 million years ago, when climate change and an asteroid impact wiped out the dinosaurs.

Now, many scientists warn that the sixth mass extinction may already be underway — and this time, the cause is not a natural disaster, but us. We don’t need to be scientists to see the signs. It has begun, and it is happening because of human activity.

Nearly One Million Species at Risk; Biodiversity Crisis Worsens, UN Warns

Anyone can realistically see it: humanity has entered a critical phase, and unless drastic changes are made — globally — we are facing extinction caused by our own destructive attitude toward the environment and other living beings.

It is high time that anyone who can help, does help. And if there are great souls who are meant to incarnate on Earth and help guide humanity back to the right path, then now is the time for their arrival. Because if they do not incarnate within the next few decades, they may have nowhere to incarnate — as humanity may no longer exist, due to the self-destruction we ourselves have been accelerating for the past hundred years.

New Data to Incorporate:

  • A comprehensive global analysis by Eawag and the University of Zurich, covering nearly 100,000 sites, found that sites affected by human activity have on average 20% fewer species, with reptiles, amphibians, and mammals hit hardest. The Guardian

  • A recent study published in Nature highlights that 24% of freshwater species (including fish, crustaceans, insects) face high extinction risk, driven by pollution, dams, water extraction, agriculture, invasive species, and overharvesting.Reuters

  • The first-ever UN report on migratory species reveals that 44% of such species are in population decline, over 22% are threatened with extinction, and 97% of migratory fish face imminent danger. It also found that over half of key biodiversity areas lack protected status, and 58% of monitored sites experience unsustainable human pressure.

In addition to providing comprehensive insights on the state of nature, ecosystems and how nature underpins all human activity, the study also discusses progress on key international goals, such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Aichi Biodiversity Targets and the Paris Agreement on climate change.

One in four species at risk of extinction

Human activities are now threatening more species than ever before. Around 25% of all plant and animal species are considered vulnerable, meaning that up to one million species could face extinction in the coming decades — unless urgent and transformative action is taken to reduce the key drivers of biodiversity loss.

If no strong measures are implemented, the global extinction rate will continue to accelerate — already estimated to be tens to hundreds of times higher than the natural average over the past 10 million years.

Despite many local conservation initiatives, including those led by indigenous communities, the outlook remains dire. By 2022, 595 globally recognized livestock breeds were classified as extinct — about 7% of all known breeds — while 2,360 more were considered at risk of disappearing. ScienceDirect

Similarly, the decline in genetic diversity is affecting crop resilience. Reductions in the diversity of cultivated crops, their wild relatives, and domestic breeds are weakening agriculture’s ability to withstand future climate shifts, pest outbreaks, and disease. This erosion undermines long-term food security.

While more food, energy, and materials are being produced than ever before, this expansion is increasingly happening at nature’s expense, compromising its ability to sustain these contributions in the future. The biosphere — the living system upon which humanity depends — is declining faster than at any time in human history.

It's Not My Goal to Debate How Much Life on This Planet Is Falling Apart

Anyone can realistically see it: humanity has entered a critical phase, and unless drastic changes are made — on a global level — we are facing extinction caused by our own destructive attitude toward the environment and other living beings.

And now we come back to the Buddha's statement, which we mentioned at the beginning of this text.

They say that the Buddha announced his next appearance would come at a time when Dharma is violated. Dharma — translated as cosmic order and law — is clearly disrupted in today’s world. Humanity, due to its ignorance, has severely broken the balance with natural law. Of course, a small part of humanity sees this and struggles to restore harmony between man and nature. To that small group, any help is welcome — especially help from those who know how to refresh the unconscious human mind.

The help of those who are already spiritually conscious is indispensable. This means that, if the Buddha truly spoke of returning to Earth, he or she may already be among us. What is especially important is that the Buddha described this return not in the form of a guru, avatar, messiah, saint or any similar authority — but simply in the form of a friend.

Many believed themselves to be the incarnated Buddha — Meher Baba among them. Osho, who speaks in the video below about the Buddha’s return, said that he wanted to be just a friend to his students — but they projected upon him the roles of master, guru and Bhagavan.

However, if the Buddha does not return as an authority figure but as a friend, then this likely does not refer to a single individual — but to many people who realize that being a true friend is the highest role a human being can take. These individuals understand that the roles of guru, avatar, saint, priest, father, mother, child, brother, sister, husband, wife, teacher, etc. — are all meaningless if they lack the inner quality of true friendship.

If we consider the view that an enlightened being merges with cosmic consciousness after death and thus loses individuality, then it becomes clear — as Osho also states in the video — that the Buddha cannot return in the literal, reincarnated sense. Therefore, the Buddha’s statement should not be taken literally. His prediction of the age of friends in spirituality may simply be an expression of common sense.

I came to the same realization when I noticed that, on one side, we have many so-called ordinary people who are highly self-aware, and on the other, so-called spiritual teachers and authorities who are often less self-aware than those same ordinary individuals. Logically, such spiritual authorities actually hinder the development of sincere seekers.

The Buddha saw this clearly 25 centuries ago — that spiritual authorities would become an obstacle to human development. I experienced this firsthand, and I continue to see it in other spiritual seekers, even if they cannot yet recognize it themselves. Perhaps they feel — at least unconsciously — that their spiritual authority is blinding them, but because they see no better alternative, they remain in the role of followers.

However, today they do have an alternative. Instead of a spiritual authority, they can choose a spiritual friend, because the time of spiritual friendship has come — just as the Buddha foretold.

I realized long ago that authority in spirituality limits the freedom of the spirit. In earlier times, this could not have been otherwise — there were simply not enough evolutionarily developed ordinary people who could stand without authority. But now, such people exist. People who can think for themselves. People who no longer need a spiritual master — but only a spiritual friend to support them in the areas where they lack experience in life and on the spiritual path.

There are not many people who really know how to be friends with others.

It is clear to me — even without Buddha’s prediction — that the era of friendship has arrived, and that friendship is the true measure of humanity. An experienced person realizes that whether someone is friendly does not depend on blood, nationality, race, religion, or any other affiliation, but solely on one’s character.

Human character is directly linked to awareness. The more self-aware a person is, the kinder they are to themselves and others; the more self-unaware, the greater the burden and harm they bring to themselves and those around them.

Figures like Meher Baba and Osho did not understand that Buddha was not speaking about just one individual, but about a movement — a new era where friendship and enmity will no longer be based on family, nation, religion, or other labels, but on whether someone’s attitude is friendly or hostile.

This new era — the era of true Friends — is not about ordinary friendship between people or between humans and animals, which operates mostly on the level of body and mind. The Friends Buddha spoke of embody a deep friendship of the soul. Friendship with such beings helps us evolve in every way and break free from the chains of the dualistic unconscious mind.

They see us primarily as souls, and their greatest wish is for their friends to grow and progress. Thus, in areas where we degrade ourselves — whether knowingly or unknowingly — true friends will not be part of that story, at least until we decide to help ourselves. As Hippocrates said, “If someone does not want to remove the causes of their illness, you have no right to help them.”

These Friends are rare but will become more numerous. Many souls are born with the potential to attain the awareness of Buddhas, Jesus, Krishna, Laozi, Confucius, and other similarly enlightened beings. One branch of Buddhism teaches that the new Buddha will be an ordinary person who works diligently to free themselves from the unconscious mind’s chains and, through this merit, attains enlightenment.

The new Buddha is not a chosen one with special powers, but an ordinary person — just like the rest of us.

This is true because today many so-called ordinary people possess the freedom and power of reason. That makes them capable of understanding life and spirituality at least on the level of the ancient sages.

Each of us is a potential Buddha, a potential Jesus, or any other similarly awakened human being. Humanity has evolved to the point where Buddhas will appear more and more often — and each of us is one in the making.

Remember, I am not a Buddhist, I am not a Christian, and I do not belong to any religion — just as Buddha was not a Buddhist, and Jesus was not a Christian. Religions are the creation of self-unaware people, seeking group identity to compensate for the absence of true human identity.

The one who has found their soul has found their true identity. And if such a person were to belong to anyone or anything, they would no longer belong to themselves.

Spiritual friends — those who cultivate the qualities of the Buddha — do not seek to possess or be possessed. They will always point you back to yourself. They will remind you that you do not belong to anyone.

That is why they choose only to be friends — never authorities.

The era of spiritual authority has passed — as the Buddha foretold. And even if he hadn’t, it is clear to every self-aware person that any form of discrimination inevitably leads to harm. This is especially true in spirituality, where the division between leaders and followers distorts the very essence of inner growth.

Those who see themselves as spiritual leaders cannot be truly spiritual as long as they depend on followers. And followers, by remaining in a subordinate position, cannot awaken spiritually while clinging to external authority.

The time has come to empower individuality.
ET friends want us to be free, independent, and joyful beings.
They never place themselves above others — and in this refusal to dominate lies their true greatness and deep care for our well-being.

So do not underestimate such self-aware friends. Honor them even more than those who once demanded your respect through titles and authority.

The basis of all friendships is respect, responsibility, open minds, mutual support, etc.

If these qualities are missing in our relationship, then we are not truly friends to one another. Let us be our own friend first of all, and then it is easy to be a friend of all living beings.

There is only one truth. There is only one Source from which we all come. There is only one path to return to this Source – the path of self-awareness. Therefore dear friends, let us continue to wake up, let us do our Dharma (duty) of bringing ourselves into balance with cosmic laws, because this is primarily in our interest and also in the interest of the whole creation.

The era of the MAITREYAS — the FRIENDS — has arrived.

Let us continue the inner work so that each of us, in this very lifetime, may awaken the Buddha’s consciousness — a non-dual awareness of unity that transforms us into true friends of all living beings.

Being a friend is beautiful. But even more profound is becoming an Evolutionary Transformative Practical Friend — an ETP Friend — a true friend to all life and all creation.

Now is your moment.

Become an Evolutionary Transformative Practical Friend — and help lift the world.

ETP Approach

Practice, practice and only practice is ETP way. Unlike psychologists, priests. life coaches and other, so called, authorities who are dealing with the mind, thoughts, faith, disbelief, emotions, ETP Friend approaches you from the point of non-duality by showing you direct techniques to clean your mind, transform your thoughts and emotions without having to deal with them at all. Sometimes it is best that a garbage can be taken by a utility company. There is no need to look into the bucket and analyze every piece of garbage and philosophize around it. Only those, who do not know how to activate the internal cleansing service, are doing it. Those, so called, authorities continue to waste their and your time analyzing the garbage of the unconscious mind. ETP Friend will show you how to regularly clean your physical and mental trash, and as soon as you have internal purity you will have both – health and happiness.
